recording

at Nowhere we excel at recording live instruments—drums, guitars, strings, voices, didgeridoos—anything that makes sound. our engineers focus on making the recordings best suited for your project. our gear locker has the usual stuff, combined with some vintage goodies and obscure toys to give you recordings you couldn’t get anywhere else. our room is locked and loaded for bands, ensembles, vocals, overdubs, whatever. mixing

mixing is one of the most fun and gratifying parts of the record-making process. once you have all of the recordings done, it’s time to shape the sounds to be all that they can be. this process can be largely technical (dialing in that perfect concert hall and pulling that soloist out front) or widely creative (throwing your voice through a megaphone, or reverbing that vibraphone out to space).

mastering

mastering is probably the least understood part of the process. mastering is like a chef beautifully plating the food, kinda. it is the step that gets the recording ready for release and consumption. this makes sure it’s not only loud enough, but that is sounds good everywhere, from your car, to your phone, to the bar PA. when looking at multiple songs like an album or EP, mastering ensures the sounds flow seamlessly and sound good together.

production

want some creative direction, or just another set of ears? let us help you find exactly what your music needs. from project management to arranging and playing parts, we can help make it happen. the staff at Nowhere are skilled producers and cover a wide range of instruments. for everything else we know the right people to call. we can help put you in touch and get them on the track.
